Composed by Lauren Longo, who appears on this recording, "Welcome to this New World" is based on a letter written by Dr. David Smiley to Valerie's niece, Anna, to commemorate her arrival. The song celebrates the wonder and anticipation we all share envisioning a little one experiencing life's joys for the first time.
